MAJOR UNIVERSITIES A SHORT DRIVE AWAY INCLUDE:
1.       BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY (BGSU) offers an outstanding educational experience in which academic learning is paired with a campus wide commitment to values exploration and prepares graduates to go out into the world as critical thinkers, skilled communicators, and ethical leaders, in all areas of study. BGSU combines the personal atmosphere of a small college with the opportunities of a major university, with more than 200 undergraduate majors and programs. BGSU's personal atmosphere is enhanced by its physically compact campus located within the Bowling Green community. Most restaurants and businesses are within walking or biking distance of residence halls. Bicycles are a popular means of transportation, but all students are permitted to have cars. Students are actively involved outside of class, participating in student organizations and service learning opportunities, and enjoying some of the more than 400 cultural and special events that are offered each month. The best way to tell if a college or university is right for you is to make a campus visit. Consider this your personal invitation to see for yourself all that BGSU has to offer.
2.       BLUFFTON COLLEGE - 280 W College Ave, Bluffton OH, 45817-1196, is private nonprofit, and is classified as a baccalaureate college of general studies. The highest degree offered is a Masters. Fulltime enrollment is approximately 1,056. Affiliated with Mennonite Church USA, Bluffton University has a strong spiritual tradition. But the spiritual nature of our educational offering is accessible to students of all backgrounds and beliefs, with values that can be universally embraced. Our commitment to these values enables our students to thrive and succeed here and in the world beyond.
3.       DEFIANCE COLLEGE currently has 40 majors that can be completed by enrolling in day and evening classes. The Weekend College program offers seven majors that can be completed by attending courses only on the weekend, or through a combination of day, evening, and weekend. Students transferring from another institution can have their prior coursework evaluated by the Registrar to determine the amount of transfer credit. When you enter, you become part of a warm, caring community. It's a place where you can develop intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. You have the chance to participate in many ways, and to play an important part in campus life. There are opportunities for everyone, allowing each student to reach his/her own personal goals.
4.       OHIO NORTHERN UNIVERSITY, Founded in 1871 and located in West Central Ohio. It is a private university offering a diverse, dynamic and unique learning community, with rigorous professional programs in partnership with the arts and the sciences. Its 3,500 students study for graduate and undergraduate degrees in: Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, Pharmacy, and Law. Ohio is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
5.       TIFFIN UNIVERSITY, was established in 1888, and now offers nationally accredited graduate and undergraduate degrees in business administration, top-notch bachelor's and master's degrees in criminal justice and social sciences, and distinctive degrees in the arts and sciences. All through its history, the University nurtured a student-centric setting and a sense of community for its student(s), faculty and staff. In addition to the growth at Tiffin, graduate and undergraduate programs of the University are offered online and at Columbus, Fremont, Toledo, and Lima, Ohio, and at several sites in the Greater Cleveland area. The MBA is also offered at Bucharest, Romania.
6.       UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO The University of Toledo was established in 1872 and became a member of the state university system in 1967.  It is one of 13 state universities in Ohio and has the highest graduation rate among Ohio's open enrollment universities. The University of Toledo holds a "Doctoral/Research Extensive" classification from the Carnegie Foundation. The University of Toledo is listed in the most recent edition of the "100 Best Colleges for African-American Students." UT offers more than 250 programs of study in eight colleges: Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Health and Human Services, Law, Pharmacy, and University College.
