Budget
The 2009 budget for the Findlay Fire Department was approximately $6.9 million. Employee salaries and benefits make up over 93% of the Department's budget. These fixed costs allow little room for adjustments. Since January 2009 the department has lost 10 firefighters who either retired or resigned. The Fire Department’s current staffing level is 65 firefighters, down from the authorized amount of 74.
