Community Input Requested for New Website

Help Findlay City Officials Build a Better Website by Filling out a Survey

In an effort to provide the most relevant information for its users, city officials plan to redesign Findlay’s website – and they need your input. Website users are asked to fill out an anonymous Community Survey to indicate what is useful for site visitors and what isn’t.

“Feedback is a gift,” Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik said. “We have the ability to obtain analytics from our current site to see what places are the most popular and frequently visited but I’d like to hear what the public would like to see. Perhaps there are needs out there that we are not meeting in terms of information sharing.”

Findlay administrators hired Vision, a website redesign company that specializes in local government pages out of California, to work through the process. Vision touts the ability to help empower local government leaders to serve, inform and engage their communities.

Through the process of redesigning the website, city officials will learn how to maintain the site as well as grow and perpetuate its relevance into the future. Vision will compile survey results.

To fill out the survey, click on the Survey Monkey link HERE.  The survey should only take a few minutes to fill out.

Survey participants can expect questions that have to do with why you check the city’s website, how often, your age, how easy or difficult it is to find the information you need, how the site can be improved, what you like about the site now, and more.

“I believe that our website should be the best place to go to obtain the most up to date information,” Mihalik said. “While improvements were made to our websites several years ago and I am grateful for the efforts, I believe we owe it to our community to do better. I am confident that the investment we are making in this new site will provide a great return. I’m looking forward to the final product.”
