Downtown Revitalization Update – October 10

The concrete crews should be done with all the curb work on Main Street and will be continuing to pour the curb ramps at each respective ramp.  Weather permitting, a good walking path for pedestrians on both sides of Main Street from Lima Street to Center Street should be complete by the middle of next week.

Asphalt crews are tentatively scheduled to arrive in the middle of next week to start paving the east and west curb lanes of Main Street.  The asphalt crews will be working during the night so we are not shutting down large sections of Main Street during the day.  Once the asphalt crews are done with paving the curb lanes and intersections, traffic will be switched from the center lanes to the outside lanes, so that work can start on the center islands.

Within the next week or two, sections of stamped concrete will be placed behind the curb, on both the east and west side of Main Street.  This colored concrete will be the same concrete that will be used in the islands and at a few crosswalks.
