Type of Incident: Felonious Assault

The Findlay Police Department was called to the Emergency Room at Blanchard Valley Hospital after a victim of a felonious assault showed up for treatment Sunday night. The assault occurred earlier in the evening outside the residence of 1241 Bernard Ave. The victim was struck in the head with a hammer following an argument with an acquaintance of his. The victim of the assault was later admitted to the hospital and surgery was performed. The victim is identified as Robert Durain, age 51, from Findlay. He is currently undergoing treatment at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate the incident. Police are looking to speak to a male with knowledge of the incident. The male has been identified as 38 year old Robert A. Brown Sr. Brown’s last known address was at a residence on Bernard Ave in Findlay, but he is no longer there. Mr. Brown has ties to the Cleveland area.
