Location of Incident: 1316 Fox Street
Findlay Police received a 911 call from a caller at 1316 Fox Street reporting a shooting incident. Upon the arrival of the police, a man was found with a suspected gunshot wound inside the residence. The man was identified as Jeffrey L. Gary, age 56, from Findlay. Gary was pronounced dead at the scene by Hanco EMS. An autopsy will be performed at a later date by the Lucus County Coroner’s Office.
An investigation is underway. No arrests have been made at this time. The weapon used was not located at the scene. The unidentified suspect(s) fled the scene prior to police arrival. Police have interviewed the person who made the 911 call and are following up on other information.
Update – February 12:
An autopsy was completed today at the Lucas County Coroner’s Office. Jeffery Gary sustained 2 gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide.
Police continue to investigate the incident. Police report that multiple unknown suspects entered Gary’s residence. The suspects confronted Gary and Gary was shot. The suspects then ran from the residence, south on Fox St. No description of the suspects was obtained as they had their faces covered. The suspects were believed to be male.
