Armed Robbery – Updated July 12, 2018

Type of Incident: Armed Robbery

Date & Time of Incident: July 11, 2018 @ 0:12 p.m.

Location of Incident: Rear of 806 N. Main Street

Brief Description: 

Officers were sent to the 800 block of N. Main St. at approximately 0012 hours on a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred in the area. The alleged victim was approached by subjects from a car and one of the subjects brandished a handgun. Items were taken from the victim and the suspects were last seen eastbound towards N. Main St. in a vehicle. The vehicle was later located and stopped in the 1200 block of Croy Dr.

Update – July 12, 2018: 

The suspects arrested after this robbery have been identified as the following:

  • Roderick C. Michael Jr., age 19, from Columbus, Ohio
  • Russell G. Ellis, age 20, from Tiffin, Ohio
  • Tyrone L. Taylor, age 19, from rural Findlay, Ohio
  • Kelsey M. Murfield, age 18, from Delaware, Ohio

All four were charged during an initial hearing in Findlay Municipal Court. They face one count of aggravated robbery, a first degree felony. They are all currently incarcerated at the Hancock County Justice Center.
