Findlay to Administer Carey Income Taxes
The Income Tax Department of the City of Findlay will begin administering the municipal income tax on behalf of the Village of Carey effective January 1, 2019. All 2018 fourth period individual estimate payments, 2018 annual individual income tax returns, past-due annual individual income tax returns, 2018 annual business income tax returns, past-due annual business income tax returns, fourth quarter 2018 employer withholding remittances, December 2018 employer withholding remittances, 2018 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements (csv, EFW2, or paper), 2018 Annual Employer Withholding Reconciliations, past-due employer withholding remittances, past-due employer withholding reconciliations and W-2s, fourth period estimate payments for businesses with fiscal years ending January 2019 or later, any scheduled past-due payments due as part of a previously-arranged payment plan for any year that will be due or that will be submitted after December 31, 2018 for the Village of Carey, should be submitted to the Findlay Income Tax Department, Post Office Box 862, Findlay, Ohio 45839-0862. Taxpayers should include their full names, current addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, and/or Federal employer identification numbers with all information, payments, tax returns, and correspondence. Checks should be made payable to the City of Findlay.
Payments and income tax returns can also be placed in the drop box located in the east curbed island of the Municipal Building’s West Crawford Street parking lot. For assistance, taxpayers can call 419-424-7133 or visit the Tax Department in room 115 on the first floor of the Findlay Municipal Building. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office will be closed January 1, 21, and February 18. The Tax Department’s website is www.findlayohio.com/incometax.
