Green Waste Site Opens Jan. 2 for Christmas Tree Recycling

The Green Waste Site will be open for Christmas tree recycling as well as all other yard waste disposal beginning January 2, 2019. The hours of the City of Findlay Green Waste Site located at 350 West High Street will be:

January 2 to January 4, 2019: 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
January 7 to January 11, 2019: 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Please remove all decorations, ornaments and tinsel before dropping off your tree.

The City of Findlay no longer has collection points for Christmas Trees at the reservoir or Emory Adams Park. Please bring your Christmas Trees to the Green Waste Site only.

The site will then be closed for the remainder of the winter, re-opening on April 2, 2019.

The green waste drop off site is for yard waste disposal (leaves, brush, limbs, grass) and is available to City residents at no charge.

The Green Waste Site is intended for residential use only. No contractors are permitted to use this site.

Only tree trimmings, brush, leaves, and grass clippings can be dumped in designated areas at the site. Absolutely no plastic bags, trash, or debris other than leaves, brush, limbs, and grass will be accepted. Biodegradable paper bags are accepted.

Residents caught dumping construction debris, household items, tires, or other debris not considered yard waste will be forbidden to dump at the site in the future and their names will be forwarded to the Police Department.

The City of Findlay will not be responsible for any damage or injury to vehicles or equipment resulting in the loading or unloading of yard debris, mulch, or dirt.
