Eagle Creek Predicted to Flood

The National Weather Service (NWS) has predicted Eagle Creek to crest at 11.1 feet at 12am January 24, 2019. This is major flood stage for Eagle Creek. At 9pm on January 23, 2019, Eagle Creek was at 10.06 feet.

At 9 feet, Eagle Creek will overrun its banks and begin to inundate portions of Fremont and Graceland Avenue. Water will inundate a field near Rosemont Drive.

At 10 feet, water from Eagle Creek will impact portions of South Blanchard Street, Brookside Drive, Fremont and Graceland Streets. The intersections of Beechmont Drive with Fairmont and Rosemont Drives flood.

At 11 feet, flooding will threaten residences along Fremont and Graceland Avenue, East Lincoln Street, and Brookside Drive. Other roads impacted include East High Street, Wilson Street, Blanchard Avenue near Graceland Avenue, Rosemont Drive and Beechmont Drive to Main Street, and Eastview north of 6th Street.

The Blanchard River is not expected to reach flood stage. NWS has predicted the river to crest at 9.5 feet at 1pm on January 24, 2019.
