Flood Warning Continues Feb. 8-9, 2019

Timing is Friday into Early Saturday Morning

National Weather Service stated the flood warning continues for the Blanchard River near Findlay from Friday morning until Saturday morning.

Moderate to heavy rain is expected through Thursday evening. Rain with embedded thunderstorms will move into the area this afternoon and continue into this evening. Saturated ground and already elevated rivers and streams will heighten the risk for flooding.

Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Blanchard River is forecast to rise above flood stage by Friday morning and rise to near 11.9 feet by Friday evening. The river will fall below flood stage by early Saturday morning. At 12.0 feet, water impacts River Street and Apple Alley on the west side of Findlay, Blanchard Street between Sandusky and Main Cross, and several streets south of Clinton Court near Riverside Park.
