Findlay Backflow Prevention Program

Post Date:05/23/2019 11:30 AM

Findlay Water/Sewer customers with backflow devices will receive a letter explaining the details of the new City of Findlay Backflow Prevention Program this week. Included with the letters will be inspection forms for the backflow devices. The Backflow Prevention Program was previously run through Hancock Public Health.

Only those water/sewer customers with backflow prevention devices will see a total calculation of the backflow administrative fee for each device on their next water bill which will appear as “BF-Administrative Fee(s).”

It is mandatory to have backflow prevention devices inspected by a certified backflow tester that is registered with the City of Findlay each year. The list of Registered Backflow Testers can be found on the Backflow Prevention Program page on the City of Findlay's website. Questions can be directed to the Water/Sewer Billing Office at 419-424-7190.
