Wags and Walks
Mayor Christina Muryn invites you to join her and the Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County to Wags and Walks on October 2, 2019, from 6-7:30pm at Emory Adams Park. The walk will take place on the east side of the park, across the footbridge.
In an effort to promote heart healthy activity and pet rescue in Findlay and Hancock County, you are invited to take an evening stroll around Emory Adams Park with a local shelter dog. This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome to walk, play, and possibly meet your next furry family member.
This event is part of the Move With The Mayor initiative.
The Surgeon General has issued a Call to Action to Promote Walking and Walkable Communities to combat heart disease, stroke and other chronic diseases. Walking 30 minutes a day can reduce a person’s risk for heart disease by 40%. Half of U.S. adults have a chronic illness such as heart disease or stroke.
Move with the Mayor is an initiative of National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention. Move with the Mayor promotes active lifestyles and strengthens a healthy culture change in our City.
