Public safety agencies are a vital resource for every community. Firefighters, law enforcement officers and EMS personnel provide the first line of defense for citizens and businesses against disaster, crime, illness and trauma. Each agency is expected to provide a wide variety of services, and the public has a right to expect competent responders with a broad skill set. As with any skill, proficiency requires continual training and practice. To accomplish this, first responders across Hancock County need a convenient and effective place to train. This need has led to a proposal to construct a public safety training facility within the City of Findlay, accessible to all fire departments, law enforcement agencies and EMS companies within Hancock County.
