RecreateMission Statement

The City of Findlay Recreation Department strives to provide affordable, quality programs meeting the needs of the community. We are committed to providing quality recreational services, which are educational, fun and rewarding. The Recreation Department promotes participation by all Findlay citizens in diverse, interesting and high quality recreation and leisure opportunities in safe, accessible and well-maintained Park and Recreation facilities.

The City of Findlay Recreation Department is located inside the Huntington Bank Arena @ The Cube, 3430 North Main Street, 419-424-7176.  Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.  The Recreation Department can assist you with Reservations for Riverside Park Shelter Houses, Downtown Findlay Millstream Art Plaza,  The Cube Conference Rooms, and the Dry Floor Arena.  Registrations for City of Findlay Activities, Reservations for Birthday Party Packages during Public Skate Sessions, and Rentals for Marathon Diamonds Fields as well as other Parks and Fields can all be taken care of through the Recreation Department.

PUBLIC SKATE SCHEDULE – public skate EVERY Saturday 1-2:50pm and Sunday 3-4:50pm. Admission $5 & Skate Rental $3.  (subject to change – call 419-424-7176)

Homeschool classes on Fridays from 10:10-11:00am and Adult Classes on Fridays from 11:10am-12:00pm.

3rd Session Begins Friday, December 8.

We offer quality instruction on many comprehensive skill levels from beginner to advanced.  Professional instructors will conduct classes in a positive atmosphere, making learning to skate a fun experience for recreational, hockey and figure skaters of all ages – 5 through adult.   Call 419-424-7176 for more information.

FREESTYLE SESSIONS – Advanced freestyle skating which includes stroking, jumping, and spinning.



FAMILY STICK & PUCK – for parents and children 14 years and younger.  Helmets are required and full hockey equipment is recommended.


ADULT DROP-IN HOCKEY – Daily, weekdays 12:00-1:30pm – Admission $5

RIVERSIDE PARK SHELTER HOUSE RENTALS – Reserve your shelter house at Riverside Park, 219 McManness Ave. by calling the City of Findlay Recreation Department at 419-424-7176.


CITY OF FINDLAY PLAYGROUNDS – How many playgrounds have you been to?  Which park is your favorite?

RECREATIONAL YOUTH LACROSSE – The City of Findlay Recreation Department is dedicated to providing an opportunity for area youth to play lacrosse – the fastest growing sport in our Nation.  Watch for more information this winter and spring.  Clinics, Discover Lacrosse Day, and a league will all be available for both boys and girls of all ages.



Many are enjoying the pickle ball courts at Rawson Park, 730 River St.  Adult men play on Wednesday mornings.  The courts are open for anyone to enjoy pickle ball or tennis.  For more information, call the Recreation Department at 419-424-7176 or 50 North at 419-423-8496.
