David Spridgeon was appointed as Clerk of Courts in September of 2015. In May of 2016, he graduated from the National Center for State Courts Court Management Program as a Fellow of the Institute. He had received his Certified Court Manager and Certified Court Executive designations in 2013 and 2015. His published paper for the program was entitled “Best Practices for the Collection of Court Fines and Fees” and can be found in the National Center’s library. He served as a Probation Officer/Bailiff in the Court since 2008. Prior to that appointment, he served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office since 1996. He still retains his Ohio Peace Officer certification and is currently the 2nd Vice President of the Ohio Association of Municipal/ County Clerk’s Association.
