Luke Benjamin Named Officer of the Year for 2016

Luke Benjamin has been named Findlay Police Department’s Officer of the Year for 2016.

 

Officer Benjamin was hired with the Findlay Police Department in June of 2012.  During the past few years, he has been the recipient of several commendations from the department, including the department’s Lifesaving Award.  The Lifesaving Award was bestowed on Benjamin after he performed CPR and resuscitated a Findlay man on 07/22/2016.  Other commendations include the following:

 

  • On 08/15/2013 Officer Benjamin received a “Letter of Commendation” for the exceptional care he provided a local boy that had been injured in a crash.
  • On 01/11/2014 he received a  “Letter of Commendation” for exceptional service and professionalism in a burglary investigation.
  • On 02/05/2014 he earned a “Letter of Compliment” in his file for professionalism on a domestic violence call.
  • On 08/27/2014 he again received a “Letter of Commendation” for professionalism in the suppression of crime by leading the department in arrests and narcotics investigations.

 

Officer Benjamin is an Emergency Response Team Member and a Field Training Officer.

 

Officer Benjamin is presently assigned to his second tour with the Special Assignment Unit.
