On July 26, 2018, Mayor Lydia Mihalik invites you to join her for a 30 minute walk through Downtown Findlay. We will meet in Dorney Plaza in front of the Municipal Building at 12:15pm and walk from there. You will have the opportunity to talk with the Mayor about any topics you like with the benefit of being physically active for 30 minutes.
The Surgeon General has issued a Call to Action to Promote Walking and Walkable Communities to combat heart disease, stroke and other chronic diseases. Walking 30 minutes a day can reduce a person’s risk for heart disease by 40%. Half of U.S. adults have a chronic illness such as heart disease or stroke.
